Our Story
Baking Joy Since 1979
Philippine Bread House has been a beloved landmark on Newark Avenue in Jersey City for over four decades. We started with a simple dream: to bring the warm comfort and sweet aromas of a traditional Manila bakery to the Filipino-American community. Today, our ovens still run daily, baking fresh Pandesal and Ensaymada while serving authentic hot lunch dishes to generations of loyal patrons.

Ube Chiffon Cake
Our famous Ube Chiffon Cake is a vibrant, airy purple yam sponge cake, layered with smooth ube halaya and covered in a cloud-like whipped cream frosting. A true celebration centerpiece.
I’ve been coming to Philippine Bread House since I was a kid. Their Pandesal is hot, fresh, and completely unbeatable. Truly the best Filipino bakery in Jersey City!
